There is no doubt that life has become somewhat easier for Wellingtonians under Covid level 2, but it is very apparent that the threat of Covid is not going to go away in the short term. The last couple of months or so has been a difficult time for those needing to make life-changing personal and business decisions, but closures and lockdowns have not deterred the enthusiasm of some.

Property sales have continued, albeit at a lower-than-normal level. As we see it, the supply of properties will continue to be tight although new builds, now under construction or on the drawing board, will eventually ease some of this pressure.

As we continue to grapple with this global pandemic, we want to do all we can to protect our community and clients. In the Tommy’s City Office, we have achieved a 100% vaccination rate because we want to operate our business and open homes in the safest way possible.

It is our goal to work collectively with our community to create a safer environment for everyone, especially those with health conditions and those who can’t have the vaccine. We respect that many Kiwis have also made the choice to get vaccinated.

As a member of the Real Estate Institute of NZ, Tommy’s will observe the industry protocols and do our utmost to protect our team and those who interact with us during these uncertain times. We are also committed to working with the Government and our health officials to prevent the further spread of Covid 19 – be it getting vaccinated, tested, or masking up – which is a step forward in opening back up to the world.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
